The Glee Club is the story of  five hard-working, hard-drinking miners - and one mining engineer.  Their close-harmony ballads go down a bomb on the working men’s clubs but, with the 60s swingin’ in, they’re hardly at the forefront of the music scene.

As they prepare for the local miners gala, it’s more than just music that’s about to change.  After the summer of 1962 nothing and no one will ever be the same again.

Richard Cameron’s Glee Club is a celebration of the now largely lost world of the mining communities, the mining industry and the camaraderie, humour and determination of the men who worked in it.
